Guía de uso
La elección del EPI debe partir de una evaluación de riesgos (impacto, corte, químico, calor, ruido, caída, radiación de soldadura). A partir de ahí, selecciona la categoría y la norma aplicable: calzado EN ISO 20345, guantes EN 388/EN 374/EN 407, gafas EN 166, auditiva EN 352, cascos EN 397, arneses EN 361, soldadura EN 175/EN 379.
Elección rápida
Entorno: interior/exterior, humedad, aceites, virutas metálicas, químicos, chispa de soldadura.
Comodidad: tallaje correcto, transpirabilidad y libertad de movimiento para uso prolongado.
Compatibilidad: que casco, gafas, orejeras y visera funcionen juntos sin interferencias.
Calzado (EN ISO 20345)
S1P para entornos secos con riesgo de perforación; S3 para humedad y suelos agresivos.
Puntera (acero/composite) y suela antideslizante; comprueba resistencia a hidrocarburos.
Guantes (EN 388/EN 374/EN 407)
Mecánicos: prioriza nivel de corte y abrasión según la tarea.
Químicos: elige material compatible con el agente (consulta la ficha del producto).
Térmicos: resistencia al calor/contacto y salpicaduras.
Protección ocular/facial (EN 166) y auditiva (EN 352)
Gafas/viseras: impacto, salpicaduras y tratamientos antivaho/antiarañazos.
Orejeras/tapones: selecciona SNR acorde al dB real del puesto.
Cascos (EN 397) y trabajos en altura (EN 361)
Casco con ajuste firme y compatibilidad con accesorios.
Arnés con puntos de anclaje adecuados; revisa cintas y herrajes antes de cada uso.
Instalación, mantenimiento y reposición
Lee la ficha técnica y ajusta correctamente tirantes, cierres y tallas.
Limpia y guarda el EPI en lugar seco; sustituye si hay golpes, fisuras o desgaste visible.
Registra fechas de uso y caducidad cuando aplique.
Preguntas frecuentes
¿Cómo elijo entre calzado S1P y S3?
S1P es adecuado para entornos secos con riesgo de perforación; S3 añade resistencia a la penetración y mejores prestaciones frente a humedad y suelos agresivos.
¿Qué guante necesito para corte, químicos o calor?
Para corte busca niveles según EN 388; para químicos revisa compatibilidad y permeación EN 374; para calor revisa EN 407. Ajusta el material a la tarea concreta.
¿Qué protección auditiva debo usar según el ruido?
Selecciona el SNR que reduzca el nivel hasta un rango seguro sin aislar en exceso. Verifica dB reales del puesto y prueba comodidad en jornada completa.
¿Las gafas y la pantalla facial son compatibles con casco y orejeras?
Sí, pero conviene comprobar que las patillas y la banda de las orejeras no interfieran. Existen sistemas integrados para mayor comodidad.
¿Cada cuánto debo reemplazar un casco o un arnés?
Siempre que haya impacto, fisuras o desgaste. Además, respeta vida útil indicada por el fabricante y realiza inspecciones periódicas documentadas.
