It can be used to hand oh machine Easy application Ideal for making Tie Dye For best results use the salts to enhance the dye from The Ship People say: Yesterday I tried two of their colors and I really liked the results. I used the black dye in the washing machine and the navy blue by hand, and I'm happy with the results in both cases. Today I was searching this page for the proper proportions to prepare the dyes in bottles for tie-dyeing, but I can't find the information. Could you send me instructions and proportions to prepare manageable amounts in hand-held bottles, as well as what temperature I can use them for this purpose and how long do you recommend waiting before rinsing the garments so the colors set properly? Thank you so much Hello. Thanks for your comment. We're glad you're happy with our dyes. Regarding your question about tie-dye, we can't give exact proportions to use for the tie-dye technique because it depends greatly on each consumer's taste, the size of the container used for dosing, and the number of garments you want to dye. In the lab, we've conducted tests using 5-10 g of dye in 300 mL containers and the results seem satisfactory. But even so, it depends on the intensity you want in the final garment. (More dye, more intensity.) High temperatures fix the dyes better on the garments. In any case, since it is done by hand, you can heat the solution well (around 60ºC) and let it cool to apply it safely. Once the tie-dye is done, it's best to dry the garments in the shade, and when you wash them again, it's best to use cold water. They always lose some color. The longer you wait without rinsing, the better the color will set. However, some color loss is normal during the first few washes (we recommend washing them separately). The fine salt helps the colors set.
