Debido a su alto poder expansivo y a la gran compatibilidad de todas sus propiedades con la gran mayoría de materiales utilizados en la construcción, se convierte en el producto ideal para proteger y aislar instalaciones de ventilación y climatización, relleno de cámaras de aire, cerramientos, pasatubos, huecos en cascos de barcos, fijación de paneles ligeros, cercos, marcos de puertas y ventanas, etc.
Absorbe vibraciones y movimientos entre materiales y en el proceso de expansión, su volumen final puede ser hasta 4 - 5 veces superior al volumen inicial, una vez endurecido resiste al agua y a productos químicos en general y una vez secado se puede cortar, lijar, pulir, pintar.
