    Description

    Voltage Data Logger

Voltage data logger for 0 ... 3000 mV / 3 input channels / Adjustable logging rate / Backlit LCD / SD memory card / Data logging in .xls format

The voltage data logger from PCE Instruments is used to record up to 3 channels of 0…3000 mV signals. The voltage data logger stores the measured voltages on an SD card in Excel format. To record higher voltages in a range between 0…10 V, a voltage divider can be used. The measured voltage is transmitted via clamp connection terminals to the data logger, which displays the corresponding values directly on the screen and at the same time stores them in memory with the corresponding date and time. It is not necessary to scale the measurement signal, as the measured values are stored directly as mV values. Scaling can be done manually in Excel. The voltage data logger thus determines the pure raw data from the sensors, which means that any further processing and evaluation of the data can be done very flexibly using spreadsheet programs such as Excel.

In addition to storing the measured values, the voltage data logger displays the values of the respective voltage channels on the backlit LCD. The maximum resolution here is 0.1 mV with an accuracy of 0.5% + 2 mV. The voltage data logger is powered by 6 AA 1.5 V batteries or a power supply. To display values in real time, you can connect the PCE Instruments voltage data logger to a computer via the serial interface. The logging rate is adjustable between 1 and 600 seconds. The data logger's housing is robust, and the device can be placed on a table or mounted on a wall. This allows for mobile measurements in different locations, as well as stationary measurements, for example, when continuously recording in a single installation.

Application areas of the voltage data logger

If measured values and data need to be recorded over a long period of time, compared and subsequently documented, in most cases the most suitable data loggers are those specially designed to measure the corresponding quantities. These often involve measuring and recording parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure, energy, light, pollutants or current and voltage. The data logger consists of a storage medium such as an SD card, an interface (USB, Bluetooth, WLAN, etc.) and at least one channel for the corresponding measurement parameter. It is often also possible to simultaneously record different quantities via multiple channels.

The PCE Instruments voltage data logger has been specially designed for measuring electrical voltage and is therefore suitable for parallel recording of voltages on a maximum of three voltage channels. With the voltage data logger, for example, sensor data that can be read via a voltage output are recorded. The measuring range of up to 3000 mV can be extended for sensors with higher voltages, up to 10V, through a voltage divider (see optional accessories). For example, if physical quantities such as temperature, pressure, and level need to be simultaneously recorded and compared in a system, the corresponding sensors can be connected to the logger to visualize and document changes and the existing relationship between the 3 quantities. In addition, the voltage data logger can be used to calibrate identical sensors at a measurement point. In this way, sensor errors can be ruled out directly before permanent installation and measurement. Air pressures before and after filters can also be checked with the appropriate sensor technology to verify filter operation. Voltage data loggers are therefore suitable for various applications in industry, maintenance and repair, or research and development.
