    In the food industry, the pH value is an important indicator for quality, taste and preservation in many applications. This is why regular monitoring of the pH value is so important. The penetration pH meter from PCE Instruments is an easy-to-use, accurate and reliable device.
    With this handheld pH meter, you can quickly check the pH of solid foods such as meat, liquids such as milk or water, and semi-solids such as cottage cheese or cheese. The pH meter has an external electrode especially suitable for food. The stainless steel blade protects the fragile glass electrode, allowing you to test harder items. The use of the penetration pH meter is simple, and thanks to the robust and waterproof casing, it can also be used without any problems in adverse conditions. Simply insert the electrode into the medium to be measured. You can then read the pH value on the large digital display of the penetration pH meter. To retain the current measurement value, the pH meter has been equipped with the HOLD function which freezes the value on the screen. The measuring range of the penetration pH meter is 0 to 14 pH. You can use this penetration pH meter in a temperature range between 0 and 60 ºC and with an ambient humidity up to 80 % RH.
    The penetration pH meter integrates the automatic shutdown function to extend battery life. The device switches off after 10 minutes of inactivity..

    The penetration pH meter is factory-adjusted. However, if desired, it can be calibrated later. This is important to ensure high accuracy during the period of use. It is recommended to recalibrate the device periodically or when the pH electrode is replaced. An ideal time to calibrate the device is when the pH meter has been stored for some time, or even before each use. We send this penetration pH meter with calibration solutions. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the electrode with distilled water after each use.

    Accessories

    The pH electrode must be kept moist to ensure accurate measurements over a long period of time. You will find the appropriate storage solution at PCE Instruments.

    pH electrodes often drift over time, which can lead to erroneous measurements. To ensure high accuracy, we recommend regularly calibrating the penetration pH meter with PCE Instruments calibration solutions (pH 4.01 / pH 7.01).

    Additionally, PCE Instruments offers an ISO calibration certificate for pH meters (item CAL-PCE-PH). The calibration certificate is issued at the customer's request. PCE Instruments can also perform annual recalibration.

    For optimal cleaning of the penetration pH meter, PCE Instruments offers the pepsin/hydrochloric acid cleaning solution (item PCE-GCS-500, 500 ml bottles).

    To protect the penetration pH meter and its accessories during transport and storage, we recommend that the customer purchase the optional carrying case.
